Abstract

This paper focuses on the relationships between“authenticity”and“completeness”and between“grandeur”and “daily life”，analyzes theproblems inidentifying theheritagevalueofresidential historical blocks，andcombines the theoretical developmentofbuiltheritageand historical blockstoanalyzethecurrnt situationofHuifangareain MingchengDistrict，Xi'an.Itidentifies theoverallcharacteristicsofthebuiltheritageinHuifangareaandexploresthe value atributes of Huifang area in terms ofhistorical site lineageand cultural gene symbiosis.
