Abstract

Hankouwasanimportantportcityinmodern times，railways，as itsmainmodeexternal transportation，hada pround impactonurban development.Historical maps can be used to analyze the evolution spatial elements，trace the historicaldevelopmentcities，playanimportantroleininheriting historicalcontext.Thisarticleusesdigital translation methods suchasvectorextraction，layerclasification，datacomparisononhistorical mapsdierent timestages，combinedwithotherauxiliarytextualmaterials，torestorethe historicalformHankou City.Basedon the theoryurbanmorphology，therelevantprinciplesdigitalsimulationanalysissuchas kerneldensityintegration degree，GIS， spatialsyntaxareused，aombinationqualitativequantitativeresearch methodsareused to explore the interactive processrailwayurban development.Theevolution process，mechanism，results Hankou City formunder the influence modern railwaysare summarized.
