Effects of Potassium Fulvate Application on Oat Growth and Soil Quality in the Saline-Alkali Soilsof the Qaidam Basin

Abstract： To explore the effects of soil improvement measures on oat growth and soil quality in saline-alkali soils of the Qaidam Basin，a completely randomized block design was adopted，including a blank control （CK） and two application rates of potassium fulvate ： 75kg⋅hm-2（A1） and 150kg⋅hm-2（A2） . The efficacy of potassium fulvate application was assessed by analyzing soil salinization indicators，the soil quality index，and oat growth parameters. The results showed that application of potassium fulvate significantly reduced soil pH value，electrical conductivity，and sodium adsorption ratio （P<0.05） ，effectively mitigating soil salinization and adjusting soil pH.The application of potassium fulvate enhanced the nutrient status and soil quality index of saline-alkali soils，consequently improving soil quality and stimulating the development ofoat biomass and root systems.In conclusion，potassium fulvate can be used as an effective soil conditionerto aleviate salt stress and promote oat growth in the saline-alkali soils of the Qaidam Basin.
