Abstract:Toaddressthe energy shortages problem,inadditionto developing newand renewable energy sources,the recoveryand utizationof waste heat resourceshavegained increasingatention,particularly low-grade industrial waste heat.Traditional ntegrated waste heat adsorption bedssufer from slow heat transferand uneven temperaturedistribution, severelylimitingtheeficiencyof waste heatstorage.Thisstudyproposesastaggeredadsorption bedthatutilizes thermocemical hydrationsalts for low-grade waste heat recovery.Results showthatthe heat-storagerateof thisadsorption bedis threetimes thatof traditionaladsorptionbeds.Intermsoftheheattransfer,itefectivelymitigates theissueof uneven heating durationof materialsacrosstheadsorptionbed.Intermsof themass transfer,amultidirectional mass transfer reducesthecontactimebetweenwatervaporandmaterials,avoidingconditionsforthesecondaryhydrationof heat-storage materials.Therefore,the“staggered adsorptionbed”has unique advantages inheat and masstransfer,providinganovel approach for the design and improvement of adsorption heat-storage beds for waste heat recovery.
