Abstract:Toenhance the microalgae lipidcontent,Chlorela sp.wassubjectedtoutrasonic mutagenesis.Mutagenesis was performed for 20 minutes under conditions 40kHz 100W ,resulting in the cultivation 10 mutant strains (M1- M10).Further screening ledtotheselection three stable high-lipid-producing strains,namelyM2,M5,M7.These strains were analyzed todetermine their biomass concentrationlipid,chlorophyll, protein massconcentration percentage.The results indicated that the biomass mass concentrations M2,M5, M7 were 0.384,0.379, 0.443g/L respectively. The lipid yields M2,M5, M7 were 14.70,13.34, 25.11mg/L ,respectively,all which were higher thanthat the wildtype(WT)strain,whichhadarecorded yield 9.38 mg/L.Comparedto the WT,the chlorophyllyield the mutant strains increased by 14.41% , 3.01% , 10.24% ,respectively,while the protein content the mutant strains increased by 7.30% , 10.52% , 13.66% ,respectively. This study is great significance to the industrialized production biodiesel.
