AbstractToexploretheotialplantigdenstyofewlyintroducedvarietiesincalareaissudytok“XianaO”,anewlyintroduced corn variety in Xizang as the object.Five density cultivation experiments were set up:75 OOo plants/ ℏm2 (M1),90 000plants /hm2 (M2), 105 000 plants /hm2(M3) ,120 000 plants /hm²(M4),135 000 plants /hm2 (M5),and seedling height,leaf age,ear position,and plant height weremeasuredndanalyzd.Tersultsshowedtattheicreaseofplantingdensitydelayedthetaselingstage,silingstageandipening stage of Xianda 1O3.With the increase in planting density,the leaf age of the“Xianda 103′′ showed a trend of first increasing and then decreasing,buteisitltfydoettt ges.Denseplantingsigniicantlyeducdtiingate,doublespikerate,stalkdameteandtotalafnumberof“Xianda3”.Ahoghte percentageofptystalkireasedwitteicreasefplantingensityeiceaseofplatigsitreasedteieldiplot especialltheplantingdensityofM3assignificantlyhghertantatofotherplantingdensities.Theresultsofseedexaminationofaand graintraitsshowedtataltoughthearandgaitraitsunderM2plantigweresuperiortootherplantingdenitis,intersofovralland yield,"Xianda 103′′ under M3 planting density wassignificantly higher than that under M2,which was more suitable for“Xianda103”planting in Shannan Region of Xizang.
