Abstract[Objective]Inordertoexploretheplantingmodethatachievesthebestsoybeanandmaizeyieldandeconomicbeeftsin HongjiangCityMetod]In224，astudyontheldandconomicbenefisofsobeanandcostripintercropingaconductedbytak ingthelocalraditionalmonoculturemodelofsoybeansndcoasacontrol.Result]Thewholegrowthperiodofsoybeanandmaieplants werebothincreasedby3dayswithstripcompoundplanting，comparedwithtraditionalplantingpate.Plantheightofsoybeanandmaize plants were increased by 11.8 and 10.7cm with strip compound planting，compared with traditional planting pattern，respectively. Meanwhile，thisresultindicatedtatnumberoffectiepodsperplant，umberof grainsprplant，andhundedgrainweightofsoybeanwithstrip compoundplanting weresignificantlyhigerthantatof traditioalplantingpate，whiletheumberofgainsperow，singlearweight， grainweightperar，andundredgrainweightofmaizeplantswithstripcompoundplantingweresignificantlyhigherthanthatofradtional plantingpatem.Theyieldofsoybeansandmaizewithstripcompoudplantigwereobviouslyhighertantatoftraditioalpntingpae， yield of soybean and maize with strip compound planting were increased by 15.24% and 5，65% ，total output value and total net income with strip compound planting were increased by 9.28% and 37.35% ，compared with traditional planting pattern，respectively.［Conclusion] It was anbenefitplantingpateforiprovingyieldandconomicbenitsofsoybeaandmaizewithstripompoundplantinginthehillreasof central Hunan，China.
