A Re-examination of the CPC’ s Organizational Work in the KMT-Controlled Areas during the Whole Nation's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression

Abstract：Following the convening of the Fifth Plenary Session of the Fifth Central Committe of the Kuomintang （KMT）in 1939，the relationship between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party of China （CPC）underwent asignificant reversal.Given the unique political situation，the CPC Central Commitee summarized the experiences gained in work in the KMT-controlledareas and promptly formulatedandadjusted the guidelines fororganizational work that were aimed at consolidating aconcealed and efficient structure so as to transform Party organizations in these areas.However，thedeteriorating external environment and complex internal dynamics rendered implementation of these guidelines arduous and challenging.To overcome this passive situation，the CPC Central Committee，along with various local Party organizations in the KMT-controlled areas，conducted proactive explorations.Ultimately，they succeeded in preserving the Party'sorganizational presence in these areas under extremely perilous conditions，making significant contributions to the victory in the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the development of the Party.
