Influence of high temperature stress on the growth status of ornamental pineapple

Abstract:【Objective】Thisstudyaimstoinvestigatetheimpactofhigh temperatureonphysiological indicatorsof ornamental pineapple,providingtechnicalsupportforcultivationofornamental pineappleinNanjingduring summerheat. 【Method】 Ornamental pineapples were exposed to a high temperature of 40% for12 h,24 h,36 h,and 48 h,respectively, andcompared with thecontrol group(Oh)to observe changes intheir physiological indicators.【Result】When exposed to (204号 40% high temperature stress for 12h ,the activities of catalase(CAT),superoxide dismut (SOD),and peroxidase(POD) in theleaves ofornamental pineapples increased and reached their peaks.Subsequently,with the extensionof temperature stress duration,theactivities of CAT,SOD,and POD decreased tovaryingdegrees.Thecontentof malondialdehyde (MDA),however, showed continuous upward trend, reaching its peak at 48h .The content of heat shock protein and proline reached their peaks at 24h and 12h ,under 40% high temperature stress conditions. The content of total free amino acids reached its peak at 48h ,while the content of soluble protein and chlorophyl decreased significantly with the increase of treatment duration,and stomata gradually closed.The contentof carotenoids,however,did not change significantly.【Conclusion】High temperature stress hasanimpactonthephysiological indicatorsofornamental pineapple leaves.Most indicators reachedtheirpeaksafter12hoftreatment,indicatingthatshort-termhightemperaturehasalready caused damage to ornamental pineapples.
