Abstract:Random fiber lasers have significant application potential inareas such as imaging,sensing,and medical diagnostics.This paper proposes a random fiber laser based on feedback from aliquid crystal core random grating array,by utilizing a random grating array mask and light-induced phase separation technology,a liquid crystal core grating arraywith randomly distributed gratings was realized withinahollow-core opticalfiber,which is integrated into theopticalpath toproviderandom fedbackforthelaser.Thethresholdoftherandom fiberlaser atroom temperature is 49.3mW.As the pump intensity gradualy increases,the numberoflasing modes increases,with the lasing modes dynamicallydistributed over therange of1529-1532nmand exhibiting a relatively smallrangeoflasing intensityvariations.The temperaturevariationof therandomgrating aray willaffect the lasing characteristics of therandomfiberlaser.As the temperature rises,thefeedback strength of thegrating array decreases,resulting inan increased lasing threshold and adecreasedlasing intensity.Additionally,the probabilityoflasing modesaround1530.9nmand1531.3nmsignificantlyincreases.Thiskindofmulti-moderandomfiberlaserbasedonliquidcrystalcorerandomgrating arrayfeedback has greatapplicationpotentialinthefieldsof sensing,communication and imaging.
