Abstract:The periodic superlatice structure present in Moiré materials is a natural artificialquantum system.Differentfromtheconventional superlattice structureformedbyvertical stackingof layers,the spiral Moiré superlatice breaks the interlayerbariersandbreaksthrough thestructural limitationsof theverticallystacked system,which bringsunique electronicenergyband structureand novel properties,and enables itto show great potential inthe fields of condensed mater physics,optoelectronics,and materials science.Currently,the study of spiral Moiré superlatice is developing towards richer material systems,more variable interlayer anglesand widerapplication of properties.This opens up new paths for probing light-mater interactionsand developing new semiconductor devices. In this review,we summarize the current preparation methods(e. :,chemical vapor deposition,liquid phase method)ofspiral Moirésuperlatice materials fromthegrowth mechanismdrivenbyspiraldislocations,discussindetail theeffects ofthenumberof spiral dislocations,dislocationangle,andthesubstrateon the spiral structure,summarize avarietyof novel properties found in theexperiments,including the mechanical strain,optical response,electrontransport,and catalytic properties.And finally,we provideasummaryof the material’sdevelopment,current status,and outlook thechallenges.
