Color-tunable Inverted Organic Light Emitting Devices Based on MAPbI, Electron TransportLayer

Abstract:This studyadresses thehigh electron-injectionbarrierandcarrierimbalanceissues in invertedorganic lightemittingdevices(OLEDs)byincorporatingCH3NH3PbI3( MAPbI3 )perovskite asthe electron transport layer(ETL). Comparativeanalysisreveals thattheMAPbIETLexhibits threesignificantadvantagesovertheconventionalorganicmaterial BPhen:(1)areductionof theelectron-injectionbarrierbyO.9eV,(2)superior electron transportcapability as shownbysingle-carrerdevices,and(3)thedeviceexhibitsareduced turn-onvoltageof1.7V,withacurrenteficiency of28.5cd/Aandanefciencyolloffrateofonly2.4%at5OOOcd/m2.Furthermore,thestudyreveals thatthisETLenablesdynamicregulationoftheexcitonrecombinatiozonedistribution,achievingacontinuous tunabilityofthecolorcoordinatesfrom(0.5760,0.3612)to(0.3993,0.3921).Thiswork notonlyprovidesanovelperovskite-basedETLfor inverted OLEDs but also demonstrates therole of interface regulation in achieving white emission.
