Research on Control of Transverse Cracks in Web of Control-cast Slabswith NonstandardShapes

Abstract:Thispaper conducts in-depth researchon the transverse crack intheflange of the non-standard billetcast by continuouscasting.Firstly,theimportant positionofnon-standardbiletinironandsteelproductionandtheserious harm causedbythetransversecrackinthflange toproductqualityareelaborated.Thecausesofthe transversecrackintheflange areanalyzedindetail,includingunevenshellgrowth inthecrystallze,unreasonablecoolingsysteinthesecondarycooling Zone,the influence of steel grade composition and performance,and fluctuations incontinuous casting process parameters. Basedonthis,aseriesofcorrespondingcontrol measuresare proposed,suchasoptimizing theflowfieldandtemperature field inthecrystalizer,improvingthesecondarycoling waterdistrbutionmodel,adjustingthesteel gadecomposition and processoptimization,and strengthening the monitoring andequipment maintenance ofthecontinuouscasting process. The efectivenessofthese control measures is verified byactual productioncases,providing theoretical basisand practical referenceforefectivelysolving thetransversecrack problemintheflangeof thenon-standard billtcastbycontinuous casting.Itisof greatsignificancetoimprovethequalityandproductioneficiencyofnon-standardbiletcastbycontiuous casting.
