Finite element analysis of premium connection under bending load

Abstract:For 2D axisymmetric model can not directly apply bending load in finite element analysis of premium conection,amethodoffiniteelementanalysisof premiumconnectionunderbendingloadispresented,andtheanalysis model is established byAbaqus,the stressdistributionof premiumconection under the load conditions of make-up,makeup+bending, make-up+bending+tension,make-up+bending+tension+internal pressure were analyzed.The results show thathebendingloadhasinfluenceonboththejointstrengthandthesealing propertyof thetheconnection,butithalitle influence on the sealing propertyand great influenceonthe joint strength.In the evaluation test according toAPI RP 5C5 standard,teendingstre isquvalenttotetensileadompreiveload,hichisooonseativetoevaluatetesaling performance.
