Abstract:Chinaholdstheseventhglobalpositioninreptilianbiodiversity.Reptilesplayanimportantrole in maintaining biodiversity and ecosystem stability,while also contributing to biomedical applications and culturalheritage.However,conservationefortsfacesignificantchalengesfromhumanperturbations.To adrestheseisues,thisstudysystematicalyreviewedglobalconservationmethodologiesandanalyzed thecurentsituationandexistingproblemsofreptileprotectioninChina.Importantly,weproposeatripartitesolutionencompasing:Legislativereinforcementandpolicyoptimization;Publicawarenes campaigns;Synergisticcolaborationbetwengovernmentalandnon-governmentalstakeholders.Furthermore,wepresentsucesfulcasestudiesrelatedtohabitatprotectionandcaptivebredingprograms,demonstratingpracticalaproachestoengagebroadersocietalparticipation.Theanalysisextendstocomparativeevaluationofinternationalconservationparadigms,advocatingforenhancedtransnationalknowledge exchangeandcoperativemechanismstostrengthenthecurentresearchonreptileprotectioninChina.In conclusion,thisstudyprovidesevidence-basedstrategicrecommendationstoadvanceChinasreptilian conservationresearchandmanagementprotocols.
