Abstract：Public libraries can usetheconceptsand methodsof social work，aswellassocial forces toachieve the expansion of social services.Social work methods and concepts such as people -oriented，fairness justice，helping others to help themselves，and ecosystem perspective bring new ideas for public libraries for thedeliveryof social services.This paper explores the significance of applying social work concepts to drive the development and construction of public libraries，and focues on the measures to improve the social services of public libraries from he aspects ofcarying out active and accurate knowledge service，carrying out humanistic care of spiritualand emotional，and actively participating in community construction.
