Abstract:Drought is one of the major abiotic stresses afecting maize production in China.Long non-coding RNAs (IncRNAs)playcrucialrolesiplantresponses tovariousabioticstreses,includingdrought.Thisstudyrevealedthattheinbred line H082183exhibitedsignificantlyhigherrelative watercontent thanLv28under moderate drought streses atthesedingstage, indicatingsuperiordroughtresistanceinH082183.RNA-seqanalysisidentified56and91drought-responsivediferentialy expresed IncRNAs distinguishingLv28 and H082183 under moderateand severe drought stress,respectively.Gene Ontology (GO)enrichmentanalysis highlighted drought resistant associated terms,including stressresponse,dehydrationadaptatio,and ABAsignaling pathways.Key lncRNAsand lncRNA-target genes involved in drought resistancewere identified:TCONS
