Abstract Thehealthy developmentof left-behindchildren is asocial issueof growing concern for both the government andthewider community.Located entirely ina mountainous region,Lishui Cityin Zhejiang Provinceseesalarge proportion of its young andmiddle-aged population migrate for work,resulting innumerous villages of left-behind children.Inresponse tothechalenges facedbythesechildren,LishuiLibrary hascarefullydesignedtheIRead withYou reading serviceprogram.Throughsystematic organization,the library hasprovided ongoing reading companionship services tailored tochildren inremote mountain villages.Byfostering multi-partycollaboration,the initiative has proven effective; byoptimizing serviceprovision,ithas diversifiedreading scenarios forleft-behindchildren;andbybroadening its scope,ithas extended reading guidance beyond traditional boundaries.The programaims to nurture values,inspire minds,andenrichhearts,therebysupporting thehealthy growthof left-behindchildrenandoferinga valuable reference model for innovative and diversified reading promotion services in mountainous public libraries.
