Abstract The“Double Reduction”policy hascreated new opportunities for public libraries to provideafter-school services.Based ona literature review,this paper examines the main practices adopted bypublic libraries at diffrent levels,analyzing theircharacteristics intermsofservice methods,servicevenues,servicecontent,cooperationmodels, andservicevalue.Itidentifieskeychalenges,includingalackofservice diversitylowfrequencyof in-schoolservices, limitedcurriculum innovation,shortages of professional personnel,and constraints inresource integration.Toaress these issues,the paper proposes innovative pathways such as developing distinctive venues,deepening library-school cooperation,optimizingcuriculum design,strengthening talent development,and integratingmulti-partyresources, thereby supporting the effective implementation of the“Double Reduction”policy.
