The Flow ofShanxi Folk Collections During 19o5-1957

Abstract After thelate Qing Dynasty，transfering privatecollections intopublic libraries used to bethe mainstream choice for bibliophiles.Shanxi bibliophiles employed three methods to contribute their private collctions to the public： depositing，donating，andselling.This notonlyeffectivelysupplementedthe literaryresources oflibraries in Shanxi but also significantly promoted the development ofcultural and educational endeavors in the province.This paper examines the directionof the dispersionof Shanxi folk colections，analyzing thecharacteristics andreasons behind the transferof private colletions to the public.From theperspectiveof historical development，we should understand the mindsetof bibliophilesas theytransitioned their private colections into the publicdomain，and fullyaffrm their valuable spiritof cherishing，collecting，preserving，anddonatingbooks.Italsocallsforthe promotionof therdeepaffectionforbooksand their devotion to the literary world.
