【Abstractshemicstroke(IS)isadiseasecausedbyinsuffcientbloodndoxygensupplytocerebralvesels,withthemainclinical manifestationsofhemiplegia,sensorydisturbance,aphasia,andataxia.Studieshaveshonthathypoxia-induciblefactorlα(HF1),athecoreregulatoryelementofoxygenhomeostasis,canberapidlyactivatedunderhpoxia/ischemiaconditions,trebyplaing animportantoleinthepathophysiolgyofIS.Inrecentyears,moreandmorearticleshaveshownthatheactivecomponentoftraditionalChinesemedicine,esepatentdugsdcompoudtraditioalesedicieprescptiosantivelylatet HIF- Π1∝α -related signaling pathwayinthe treatmentofIS,but there isnosystematicsummaryonregulationof the HIF-1αsignaling pathwayinthetreatmentofIS.Therefore,thisarticlemainlysummarizes thestructureand physiologicalactivityof HIF- ∇⋅l∝ and its mechanisms ofactioninISandreviewsrelated studiesonChinese medicinemonomersandcompound prescriptions inthetreatmentof IS inthe pastfiveyears inChinaandglobaly.ItispointedoutthattheChinese medicine monomersandcompound prescriptionscan repairbraintissue,allviatebraintissuedamage,andexertaterapeuticefectonISbyregulating theHF-1αpathwaytoprootean giogenesis,inhibitnuroinflmmatioandoxidativestress,promoteenergymetabolism,andrepairblood-brainbarierdamage. 【Key words】hypoxia-inducible factor 1α ;ischemic stroke ;angiogenesis;energy metabolism;blood-brain barrier
