Abstract:Amaritime low-lightimage stitching method basedonimprovedoptimal seam isproposed tomitigatetheimage titchingartifactsandseamscausedbyunevenilumination,increasedoiseandlargeparallaxinlow-lightimagesinritie. Theline-pointconsistencymatchingstrategyisintroducedtowarptheimage,andtheoverlappingareaoftheimageisaliged accuratelybyoptimizingthemeshdeformation.Theenergyfunctionoftheoptimalseamalgorithmisimprovedbytakingaccount ofcolordiffrence,gradientdiferenceandtexturecomplexitysoastoreduceartifactsinoverlappingareas,andthenthe dynamicprogrammingsearchalgorithmisusedtofindouttheoptimal seam intheoverlapingareas.Onthebasisof the gradient,thefusionweightofthein-outblendingalgorithmisadjusteddynamicalltoeliminatethevisibleseams,soastorealize thesmoothtransitionoflow-lightimagestitchinginmaritie.Theresultsofstitchingon6groupsoflow-lightimagesinmarime show that the quality error of seam of the proposed method is reduced by 51.48% on average,and the stitching quality is improvedobviouslyincomparisonwith theoptimal seamalgorithmbeforetheimprovement.Tosumup,theimprovedoptimal seam algorithmcanavoid artifactsand stitching seams,and realize smooth stitching of low-light images in maritime.
