C-V2X congestion control strategy based on dynamic resource allocation

Abstract:Celularvehicle-to-everything(C-V2X)technology,asanintegralpartofthenextgenerationintellgent transportationsystem(ITS),iscommitedtoimprovingthecommunicationeficiencyandsafetybetweenvehicles.Howeverthe existingaccessmechanismsoftraffcmesagearepronetoconflictandwillcausetransmissionfilureinthecaseoftim-varing vehicledensity.Inviewof theabove,thispaperproposesaninformationchannelresourcealocationstrategynameddynamic semi-persistentsheduling(D-SPS),whichfocusesonthemessagecongestioncontrolofheavytraffcintheexistingurbanroads. Inthisstrategy,aroad-section-basedribbonclusteringschemeisperformedandthecommunicationresourcesarealocated dynamicallyacording tothenodedensitywithintherelevantcluster,whichtoacertainextentallviates thecongestioncausedby uneven distributionof nodedensityineachlaneduringaspecifictime period.Inaddition,thelaneclusterhead electionstrategy isfurtherimprovedonthebasisof theabovestrategies,soastoreducetheelectioncostandimprovethestabilityofthecluster. Theresultsof modelingcalculationandnumericalcomparisonshow thattheproposed strategycanefectivelyreduceaccess congestionofcurrentMode2mechanism.Inaddition,thetransmissiontimeliness ofsecuritybeaconsandthepacketdelivery ratio(PDR)oftheinformationwithhighbitratehavebeenimprovedsignificantlyinthesceneofhigh-densitydatainteraction.
