Abstract:The application ofquicklime is a critical measure for regulating thesoil environment and ensuring stable yieldsduringMorchellaesculentacultivation.Todeterminetheappropriatequicklimeaplicationrateintherice-Morchella esculentarotationsystem,thisstudyused Morchellasextelataand thericecultivarNanjing 46astestsubjects.Fourtreatments were established based on quicklime application rates: 0kg/hm2(Cl) , 375kg/hm2(C2) , 750kg/hm2(C3) and1125kg/hm2(C4) . The effects of pre-sowing quicklime applicationonMorchellaesculentayield,riceyieldand its components,ricenitrogencontent,and farmland soil fertilitywereanalyzed. The results indicated that quicklime application significantly reduced the risk of pathogenic fungalinfectioninMorchellaesculenta.Theyieldunderthe C3 treatment reached 3 385kg/hm2 ,which wassignificantlyhigher thanthat of othertreatments.Compared to thenon-quicklime treatment(C1),the applicationofquicklime showed no significant impact onriceyield.Ahigh applicationrate(C4 treatment)significantlyreduced he numberof productive panicles,whereas anappropriaterate(C3 treatment)notablyincreasedthetotal grains perpanicle.Analysis of soil fertility indicatorsrevealed that anappropriate quicklime application rate increased soil pH ,while the high applicationrate(C4 treatment)significantly reduced soil nitrogen supplycapacity,as evidenced by markedly decreased nitrogencontentinrice strawandsoilalkalinehydrolysablenitrogen.Quicklimeapplicationshowednosignificant eectson soilphosphoruscontentandpotassumcontentduringthericeseason.Inconclusion,fortheinitialyearofimplementingthe rice-Morchella esculenta rotation in the experimental area,anapplication rate of 750kg/hm2 is recommended as it effectivelybalances the stable yield outcomes for both Morchella sextelata and the rice cultivar Nanjing 46.
