AphidsandTheirNaturalEnemiesinLoudi

Abstract：Toclarifytheaphidspecies，heirnaturalenemies，andhostplants inLoudi，Hunan，asytematicsurveywascoducted fromJanuaryto December in 2024.Theresults showed thatthere were double peaks （April to Mayand November）of aphid occurrence inLoudi，whileJulytoAugust witessedlowoccurrence.Atotalof15aphidspecies wereidentifedinLoudi，among whichNeothoacpisnissoroloidispsiaecladcallsawaoklie common species （discovered for ⩾5 times withina year）.Aphis gossypi，Myzus persicae，A. spiraecola，A.craccivora，and Lipaphis pseudobrassicaewerefoundonseveralspeciesofplants，representingpolyphagousapids.N.yanonis，S.kahawaluokalan，ndR. maidis caused seriousdamageonspecifchosts.Furthermore，there were13speciesofnatural enemiesofaphids inLoudi，among which Harmonia axyridis and Aphidius gifuensis were the common species （discovered for ⩾5 times within a year）. The natural enemies were more abundantonplantssuch ascrape myrtles，maizeplants，motherwort，andpeach plants than onvegetables suchas cabbage， Chinese cabbage，bitter gourd， and sponge gourd.
