Abstract:TheseedlingsoftheindicacultivarKasalath'withhighcadmiumaccumulation,theindicacultivar'R2292'withlow cadmium accumulation,and theirhybrids'KR-141'and'KR-267'wereused forthe hydroponic experimentsundercadmiustress. Transcriptomesequencingwasconductedtoinvestigatetheresponsemechanismsoftherootsandleavesofriceseedlingstocadmium stress.Theresultsrevealed 30diferentiallyexpressed genes(DEGs)intherotsandleavesofboth highcadmium-accumulating cultivars (Kasalath'andKR-141)andlowcadmium-accumulatingcultivars (R2292'andKR-267).TeGOandKEGGenrichent analysesevealedthattwopathways,glutathionemetabolicprocessandtransmembranetransport,playedakeyroleintheesposeto cadmiumstressIndition,tegenesintefourmodles,MEtan,Ecyan,EbluendEgreen,erereeedbyeeigted geneco-expresionnetworkanalysis(WGCNA)andcompared withthe30DEGsand19sharedDEGswereidentified.Thesegenes serveas candidates for breeding rice cultivars with low cadmium accumulation.
