Abstract: To ensure that the long-span pedestrian suspension bridge can simultaneouslytake into account pedestrian comfort and structural safety,relying onthe scenic area pedestriansuspensionbridge with amain spanof152 metersas theengineering background,thelimitvaluesoftheverticalbendingamplitudeandtorsionalamplitudeofthevortexvibratioofthemainbeamof thebridgewereobtainedbyusing themethodsofcalculationandCFDnumerical simulation.Comfortanalysiswasconducted by designingthe maximumverticalbendingandtorsional vortexamplitude valuesoftheactualvortexvibration vibrationofthebridge withintherangeof hemaximum windspeedand windatackAngle.Theresultsshowthatas thewindatackAnglechangesfrom positiveto negative,thevertical bending vortexvibrationperformanceof themain beamofthelong-span pedestrianbridge deteriorates. The most unfavorable vertical bending vortex vibration occurs at a wind attack Angle of 0∘ ,which can meet the safeverticalbendingvortexvibrationamplitudebutexceedsthevortexvibrationamplitudelimit thatmeetsthecomfortlevel;As thewindattackAnglechangesfromnegativetopositive,thetorsionalvortexvibrationperformanceof themainbeamofthelong -span pedestrianbridge deteriorates.The wind sped lockingrange shifts towards the high wind speed zone.The most unfavorable torsional vortex vibration occurs at a 3∘ wind attack Angle,which not only exceeds the vertical bending vortex vibrationamplitude thatmeetssafetyrequirementsbutalsoexceedsthevortexvibrationamplitudelimitthatmeetscomfort requirements.Theresearchconcludes that th limit standards for vortex vibration amplitudeof long-span pedestrian suspesion Bridges considering pedestriancomfortare stricter.Theresearchresultscanprovideabasisforthecalculationofamplitude limit values of long - span pedestrian suspension Bridges.
