Abstract:Thisreviewexamines theexhibition "Wind Blows,WaterRises"at AedesArchitecture Forum in Berlin,Germany, which employs the urban concept of "ancientsedimentation-modernreclamation" to resonatewith theclassical Chinese technological philosophy that "technology originates from nature." The curatorial strategy developsa narrative approach combining historical metaphor with contemporary prototypes. It investigates the adaptive design of spatial forms and flows through the Chinese culturalmetaphorofhydro-terrestrialcybernetics (the regulation of land and water),establishing a conceptual platform for scenario-based planning pedagogyand exhibition. The exhibition translates theoreticaldiscourse into fiverelational principles debating "technology-nature"dynamics,framed as accessible, adaptive Chinese prototypes:1) the "Sponge Paradox,"reflectingrigid flood-control standards;2) the "Siltationas Urbanization"complex, transforming sedimentwaste into resource;3) the "Convergent Hydro-Palace,"utilizingstormwater flows by following natural tendencies;4) "From Oysterto Citadel"addressing ecological design and coastal interface remodeling;and 5) "Hydro
Urban Revival,"restoring the hydro-geographical features of urbanvillagesas hydrological heritage. Together, thesescenarios formautopianvisionthat culturallyreinterpretshydro-terrestrialcybernetics throughadaptation, ensuring professional rigorwhile enhancing public comprehension, discussion, and ideological dissemination.
