Abstract： This paper takes as its research subject， tracing the interactive relationship between its unique industrial evolution and the dramatic transformations its coastline.Byanalyzingurban design cases from 's western coastal area，it examines how urban design responds to industrial shiftsand shapes the urban landscape. study further investigates specific urban design initiatives and the effectiveness and limitations their corresponding strategies.se practices，guidedby conceptssuchas"LinkingMountainsand Seas，"aim to create continuous public spaces，enhance the vitalityand landscape the coastline，and promote the transformation coastal zones into integrated ecological systems.However，recent urban design hasalso faced issues such as insufficientattention to marine-terrestrial industries and constraints due to homogeneous industrial positioning.Ultimately， thepaperattempts to proposea more forward-looking perspective on urbandesign.This aims toencourage urban planners and designers in 's future practice to bettercontribute to the development a marine city，achieving synergistic wins for both industry and ecology.
