Abstract：Drawing on the experience of planning experts like Zhou Ganzhi，Ren Zhenying，and Chen Zhanxiang，insights from WesternEuropeanmodernisturbanplanning，formerSovietnew town planning，and China's First Five-Year Plan industrial city planningwere integrated into the planning of China's special economic zones，supplemented bysubstantial innovations that profoundly shaped China's post-2ooo urban planning concepts. With traditional Chinese human settlement ideas incorporated by a newgenerationof planners，the initial urban imagery in the 1986 Master Plan evolved into Futian CBD's urban design form through multiplecompetitionsoveradecade，significantly influencing the form and culture of new-generation Chinese urban central districts.
