Abstract：This article introduces Professor WANG Bangcai'sclinical experience in treating chronic urticaria. Professor WANG believes thattheoccurrenceof chronicurticariaiscloselyrelatedto external invasionof wind pathogens and internal accumulationof damp-heat，with the fundamental pathogenesis involving nutritive-defense disharmony and disharmony of the five viscera.The treatment primarily focuses on dispersing wind，clearing heat，draining dampness，and resolving toxins，whilealso regulating the five viscera and harmonizing the nutritiveand defense.For externally expeling windpathogensand internallyeliminating damp-heat，themodified Mahuang Lianyao Chixiaodou Decoction is oftenused as thebasic formula.The treatment alsoadresses the five viscera individuall from lungdefense， spleen transportation，liverqi，heart blood，and kidney essence toultimatelyachieve theefectof harmonizing the nutritive and defense.
