Abstract：This paper introduces Professor WANG Lingjun's clinical experience in treating chronic heart failure based on the thought of treating yin and supporting yang.Professor WANG Lingjun holds thatthis disease occurs due to excessive internal yinpathogens blocking theascending of heart yang under the imbalance of pathogenesis such as insufficient heart yang，deficiencyof heartyin，excessive phlegm-damp，and intermingled blood stasis.Basedon thethoughtof"treating yinandsupporting yang"，in clinical practice，he dredgesand tonifies theblood vessels to treatblood stasis blocking the heartvesels；tonifiesand promotes qitorestore yang forchronic disease with qi deficiency；strengthens the spleen to resolve phlegm，promotesdiuresis to expel fluid retention for adverse fluid accumulation；warms yang to treat heartvessel disorder.In a word，the treatment takes warming and tonifying heart yang，replenishingqi and nourishing yinasthe foundation，and simultaneouslytakes into account invigorating blood and resolving stasis，resolving phlegm and promoting diuresis.
