Clinical Research Progress of Stage-Based Treatment of Chronic Kidney Disease with Traditional Chinese Medicine

Abstract：This article systematically reviews clinical research literatureon the treatment of chronic kidney disease（CKD）with traditional Chinese medicine published domesticallyand internationallyfrom January1，2020 to January31，2O25，summarizing stage-specific diagnosis and treatment strategies.In theearly stage，emphasis is placedonsupporting healthyqi and regulating viscera，while also eliminating pathogens to improve related symptoms. Inthe middle stage，equalimportance is given to reinforcing healthyqiand eliminating pathogens topreservethe kidney function.In the latestage，the focus shifts toactivating blood circulationand discharging turbidity，as well as regulatingqi movement todelay disease progresion.Through stage-basedsyndromediffrentiationand treatment， traditional Chinese medicine achieves comprehensive intervention throughout the course ofCKD.When combined with western medical therapies，it demonstrates favorable efficacy in improving clinical symptoms，reducing complications， and delaying the initiation of dialysis.
