Treatment of Insomnia and Infertility Comorbidity Based on WANG Hongxian's Philosophy of "Achieving Unity Through Harmony"

Abstract：The wayof heavenand earth is that harmony between yin and yang fosters the growth of allthings；the wayof the human body is that harmony between yinand yang ensures regular sleep；the wayof husband and wifeis that harmony between yin and yang leads to the birthofchildren.Conception and sleep are natural processs that follow the laws of nature. However，when these processs are disrupted，it indicates an interruption inthe natural order.When insomniaand infertility occur simultaneously，it suggests acommonunderlying disorder.In clinical practice，the author often encounterscases where insomnia and infertility coexist，with each condition frequently affecting and exacerbating the other.These cases often present with a mixture of deficiencyand excess，as wellas cold and heat. WANG Hongxian believes that for diseases with complex and lingering pathogenesis，treatment should be based onthe principleof "harmony."This involves using "harmony" as the foundation，method，and measure，aiming to achieve "unity."Heoftenemploys the modified Chaigui Decoction for syndrome differentiationand treatment.This article， based on WANG Hongxian's clinical thinking of "achievingunity through harmony，"discusses the Chinese medicine conceptof "harmonyand unity，"explores the relationship between "harmony and unity"and sleepand fertility，and coroborates this with modern western medicalresearchontheclose relationship between sleepand fertility.Acase study is included todemonstrate theeffectivenessof thisapproach，aiming toprovide insights fortheclinical treatmentof

comorbid insomnia and infertility.
