Introduction of CHEN Lei's Experience in Treating Insomnia with Meridian Scraping Therapy

Abstract：This paper introduces the clinical experience of Director CHEN Lei in treating insomnia with meridian scraping therapy.Basedon the theoryof yin-yang interaction，DirectorCHENLeibelieves that insomnia is related to thefailureof yinand yangqi to interact.The pathogenesis of insomnia canbe summarized in three aspects：first，the failureofthe monarch and minister fires to interact，resulting in disharmony between the heart and kidney；second， the malfunction of the spleen，disrupting the pivot function；third，Shaoyang disorder，leading to impaired pivot mechanism. Clinical treatment folows the principles of restoring interaction between the heart and the kidney，raising theclearanddirecting theturbiddownward，andsmoothingthe pivotmechanism.Syndromediferentiationis appliedto administer meridian scraping therapy，enabling the interaction of waterandfire，the mutual promotionand frictionof yinand yangqi，and thus alowing thespirit to reside peacefully in its house，leading tospontaneousrecovery from insomnia.
