Introduction of HE Shidong's Experience in Flexibly Using Insect Medicinals to Treat Chronic Kidney Disease

Abstract：This paper summarizes and introduces Professor HE Shidong's clinical experience in flexibly utilizing insect medicinals to treat chronic kidney disease.Professor HE proposes that "spleen-kidneydeficiencyand blood stasis andqistagnation inthe kidneycollaterals"arethe fundamental pathological mechanismsof chronic kidneydisease.In clinical practice，basedon the pathological factors ofwind pathogensis，water-damp，damp-heat，and blood stasis， insectmedicinals can beused according to syndrome diferentiation to exert effectsof dispelling wind，promoting diuresis，eliminating damp-heat，and resolving blood stasisand meridians obstruction；their property of "deeply searchingand meticulously eliminating pathogens" is employed to loosenandeliminate therootof the disease，thereby enhancing the eficacy of strengthening the spleen and nourishing the kidney.
