Abstract：This paper summarizes and introduces Professor LIU Jinwen's clinical experience in preventing and treatingdeep vein thrombosis （DVT）of the lower extremitiesafter artificial jointreplacement.ProfessorLIU believes thatthepathogenesis of DVTafterartificial joint replacement is due to disharmony betweenqi and blood，leading to blood stasis and blood massInclinical practice，hefocuses ondiferentiatingdeficiencyand excess，regulatingqi and blood，andemphasizes strengthening the healthyqi and removing blood stasis，adjustingqi，blood，and body fluids， and promoting blood circulation，whichcan helpresolving swelling pain.Diferentiating deficiencyand excess is to nourish qiand activateblood，therebypromoting vigorousqiandsmoothing blood flow，removing bloodstasis and unblocking thecollaterals，allwithoutdamaging thebody'shealthyqi.Atthesame time，basedonindividual constitutions，emphasis is placed on prevention and treatment before and during surgery，as wellas postoperative treatment，following the principle of syndrome differentiation prior to treatment.
