Experience Introduction of CAO Yemin in Treating Diabetic Foot with Method of Reinforcing Healthy Qi and Clearing Pathogens

Abstract：This paper introduces Professor CAO Yemin's clinical experience in treating diabetic foot with the method of reinforcing healthyqi andclearing pathogens.Professor CAO believes that diabetic fot is causedby deficiency leading to susceptibility to pathogens，and then pathogens cause stasis.Therefore，the treatment should focus onreinforcing healthyqias the foundationand dispellng pathogens as the priority，with a skilledapplicationof the methodof reinforcing healthyqi and clearing pathogens.In clinical practice，heemphasizes syndrome diferentiation andtreatment basedonstages，accurately grasping the timingof treatment.In the early stage，the main syndromes are dampness obstructing the collterals and deficiency of liverand kidney，for which Qingmai Jianbu Prescription is used to clear the colaterals and drain dampness，as wellas supplement the kidneyand strengthen bones.In the acute stage， the damp-heat and pathogens are excesive，and the treatment focuses on clearing and releasing them.Liangxue Heying Prescription isused to clear heat and cool the blood，aswellas harmonize the nutrient qi and resolve toxins.He advocates "dispellng pathogens first，performing incision and drainage as earlyas possible（the sooner，the beter）， and establishing protection as soon as possible."In the convalescence stage，when the healthyqiis weak and pathogens linger，the treatment focuses onreinforcing healthyqi，supplemented by clearing pathogens.Fuzheng Qingjie Prescription is used to reinforce yang andconsolidate the root，as wellas boost qi，and expel toxins.He advocates "promoting granulation tissue growth and bone healing through the application of roasting pus."

曹烨民教授为上海市名中医，上海中医药大学、上海市中医药研究院特聘教授，曹烨民教授是上海市奚氏脉管病学术流派主要传承人，师从上海市名中医奚九一教授，从医40余年间，总结出一套治疗糖尿病足的诊疗方法，提出“因虚感邪、因邪致瘀、扶正为本、祛邪为先”的扶正清解法，疗效显著。（剩余10155字）
