Abstract：Withthedevelopmentof industrial automation，steel coil spraycode has become an importantlink inmodern production，usedto achieve product tracking and scientific management.However，thetraditional manual inkjetcodehas manyproblemssuchasbig hidendanger in work environment，loweficiencyandsoon.Inordertosolve theseproblems，this paper presents a method of combinationof robot and automatic code-spurting，whichis used to spurtcodeonthe surface and endsurfaceofstainlessteelhot-rolledcoil.Thesystem canautomaticallycollectthe printingdataandlocate the position andcontourofthe steelcoil inreal time，sothattherobotcandothe printing operationaccurately.The methodcan mprove production eficiency，reduce labor intensity，andachieve high-precision spurtingcodequality，thus efectivelysolving he problems of manual spurting code.
