Abstract：The developmentof China's steel industry is enteringanaccelerated periodof transition from scaleefficiency to qualityefficiency.Steelenterprisesurgentlyneed toestablishanewcompetitiveadvantage in themarketcenteredoncustomer demand and quality improvement.Standards，asan important lever for promoting productand technological progre，playa crucialrole inimproving thequalityofsteelproductsandcreating uniquestelbrands.Inthispaper，thecurentsituationand keywork ofstandardizationinsteel industryisstudied，andrelevantsuggestionsforthefuturestandardizationworkaregiven， which are focus on "increasing varieties， improving quality， and creating brands" of steel industry.
