Abstract：Theratioofknotingforceofsteelwireisthekeyindicatortoevaluatethetoughessorplasticdeformationability ofsteelwire.Intheknoting tensiletestofsteewire，thedenominatorusedtocalculatetheratioofknotingforceis"the measured breaking forceofthesamestelwire"，or "thenominalbreaking forceofthesamebatchofsteelwire".Different standardshavediferentprovisions，anddifferentcalulationmethods willgetdiferentinspectionresults.Thispaperanalyzes theratioofknottngforce'scalculationmethodintheknoting tensiletestofsteelwireindetail，andputsforwardeasonable suggestions.
