Abstract： The 15th National Games serve as an important means to promote the micro-renewal of cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. By applying research methods such as literature review and logical analysis，this paper studies the historical experience， theoretical mechanism and practical approach of the 15th National Games in promoting urban micro-renewal. Research suggests that since the new era，the National Games have conducted practical explorations on the coordinated mechanism of event preparation and urban renewal， the collaborative path of venue construction and the activation of urban existing space， the experience and enlightenment of the balance between continuous event investment and social benefits，and the integrated practice of the implantation of sports spirit and the inheritance of local cultural context. The 15th National Games mainly promoted the micro-update of the governance system through the upgrading of event organization， the micro-update of the built environment through the construction and renovation of venues，the micro-update of industrial functions through the injection of sports capital，and the micro-update of community culture through the development of mass fitness. Based on the actual development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area， it is proposed to innovate the collaborative mechanism and break through the governance barriers of cross-border renewal， unleash the momentum of the event and activate the functions of the remaining space after the competition， integrate green intelligence and reconstruct the spatial network of ecological cities， deeply cultivate the sports genes and carry forward the cultural heritage ofLingnan.
