ABSTRACT: Most tumor cellsand healthy neurons are at rest during GO phase. Once the cell cycle is abnormally re-entered under certain conditions,the proliferation of tumorcellsand the degenerative necrosis of neurons can be initiated.From the perspective of the cellcycle,cancer and central nervous system diseases,two seeminglydiffrent disease types,have a common pathogenesis.This typeof diseases is namedaberrant cellcycle diseases.Asanewlydiscovered microRNA(miR),miR-1976 is closelyrelated to theregulationof thecellcycle. This review summarizes the progress in the research on miR-1976 in cancer and central nervous system diseases, aiming to provide areference for the clinical application of miR-1976 in aberrntcell cycle diseases in the future.
