Effect of Key Cigarette Paper Parameters on Baking Cigarete Paper's Air Permeability and Fiber Morphology

Abstract:Bakingigaretepapeoanctrictermostaticotplateasusedtoivesigateteectsofthreeeyparametesfcirete paper(airpermeability,ombustionadditivecontentcalculatedbythemassfractionofcitrateion,andcombustionaditivetype)ontheair permeabilityandfermorphologofteakingigareepaper.Itiedtoredicttheairpemabilityndfibermorphologofcigarteppercharedregionobuingcigarete,providingevdencetathowcigaretepapeafectsthemainstreamsmokedeliveryofcigaresThe resultsshowedtatbingcgareepaper’sirpabilityexdaliearincreasingtredwitnicreaeofcigareepapeirpeability,risingfrom19.3~180.2CUto89.2~51.8CU.Meanwhile,thefiberlengthdecreasedfrom0.562~0.661mmto0.339~ 0.375mm.Withanincreaseofcombustionaditivecontentincigaretepaper,bakingcigaretepaper’sairpermeabilitygaduallyincreasedfrom57.0~59.9CUto72.7~213.0CU,thefiberlengthdecreasedfrom0.60lmmto0.33~0.387mm.Atthesamecombustion additivecontentakingcigaretepaper’irpermeablityandfiberngthductioatewithpotassicitrateere2.37CUand 0.5~8.6 percentage points higher than these of sodium citrate cigarette paper.
