Study on Synergistic Mechanism of Structure and Properties of Cationized Pulp Regulated by Lignin Contentand StrengtheningofIts Antibacterial Function

Abstract:This studyusedchemi-mechanicalbamboo pulpasraw materialand adjustedlignincontent(2.47%~18.67%)through acidic sodium chlorite treatment,followed by cationized modification using 2,3 -epoxypropyltrimethylammonium chloride (EPTAC) as etherifying agent.Thestructureand propertiesofodifiedpulpweresystematicallcharacterized.Theresultsshowedthatquaternaryammonium groups weresucefullygraftedontopulpbyEPTAC,with significantlyincreased Zeta potential.Ligincontent showedpositivecorelationwithdegreeofcationizedsubstitution(DSofHPY0was0.O98,decreasingto0.078forHPY18).Antibacterial tests demonstrated thatthe inhibitory effectof cationized pulp against E . coli and S .aureus significantly enhanced with increasingligninontent,arbutedtoteauralntibacterialproprtisoflignn,sicalpiercingetoflrgesdoibs inhigh-lignin systems,and synergistic effect of cationized charges.
