ABSTRACTImmunoglobulin Anephropathy(IgAN)isacommon primaryglomerulardiseaseanda frequent causeof chronic renalfailure.TripterygiumwilfordiisatraditionalChineseherbalmedicine,whichpossesestheeffectsofpromotingblood circulation,relievingswelingandpain,anddispelingwindanddampness.Moderpharmacologicalstudieshaveshownhat T. (204号 wilfordiimultiglucosideexhibitanti-inflammatoryandimmunomodulatoryects,inibitmesangialcellproliferation,protect podocytes,ameliorateendothelialcellijuryndregulategutmicrobiotadisturbancesriptolidealsoosesssanti-infaatory andimmunomodulatoryproperties,suppressesmesangialcellproliferation,andprotectspodocytes.Celastroldemonstratesntiinflammatoryandimmunomodulatoryfunctionsaswellastheabilitytoimproveendothelialcelldamage.Throughthese mechanisms,T.wilfordiianditsactivecomponentscanplayaroleinalleviatingclinicalsymptomsanddelayingdiseaseprogresion inthetreatment of IgAN.Futureresearch shouldfocusonin-depthanalysisand mechanisticinvestigationof theseactive ingredients,promotehigh-qualityclinical studies,systematicallevaluatethesynergisticeffectsamongthem,andemphasize strategiesforreducing toxicityandenhancingeficacy,therebyprovidingmorecomprehensiveandreliableevidence-based foundations for the clinical treatment of IgAN.
