Characteristics of Open-Field Cultivated Strawberry Cultivars in China and Introduction of Six Major Cultivars

Abstract:In recent years,there has beena significant increasein the trendof strawberyprocessed products being exported toforeigncountries.Fieldgrownstrawberies,withtheirlowproductioncosts,highfruitqualityfirmness,strongresist ance,and highyield,havebecome thepreferedrawmaterials forprocessingand haveonceagainatracted widespread atention,showing great potentialfordevelopment.Anoverviewof thecharacteristicsoffieldgrown strawberycultivars wereprovidedandthe features ofsix majordomestic field-grown strawbery wereintroduced cultivars,namely‘Daselect’,‘Honey’, ‘Mibao’,‘Sengasengala’,‘Swet Charlie’,and‘Allstar’. It also offrs some suggestions for the researchon field-grown strawberry germplasm resources,with theaim of providing references for the selection of strawber procesing cultivars.
