Characteristics of Open-Field Cultivated Strawberry Cultivars in China and Introduction of Six Major Cultivars

Abstract：In recent years，there has beena significant increasein the trendof strawberyprocessed products being exported toforeigncountries.Fieldgrownstrawberies，withtheirlowproductioncosts，highfruitqualityfirmness，strongresist ance，and highyield，havebecome thepreferedrawmaterials forprocessingand haveonceagainatracted widespread atention，showing great potentialfordevelopment.Anoverviewof thecharacteristicsoffieldgrown strawberycultivars wereprovidedandthe features ofsix majordomestic field-grown strawbery wereintroduced cultivars，namely‘Daselect’，‘Honey’， ‘Mibao’，‘Sengasengala’，‘Swet Charlie’，and‘Allstar’. It also offrs some suggestions for the researchon field-grown strawberry germplasm resources，with theaim of providing references for the selection of strawber procesing cultivars.
