Introduction Performance and Main Cultivation Techniques of ' Pingou 7∘ in Taigu， Shanxi

Abstract：In2Ol6，thelarge-fruited Pingou hybrid hazelnut‘Pingou7’wasintroduced fromtheLiaoningPomologyInstituteand plantedinthehazelnutexperimentalorchardof thePomology Institute，Shanxi AgriculturalUniversity.Thiscultivar exhibitsstrong stressresistance，moderate growth，easyflowering，andearlyfruiting withighyield.Itbegins tobearfruit in the third year after planting，enters the initial high-yield period in the fifth year with a yield of 90kg per mu （ 667m2 ），and reaches the full high-yield period in the seventh year with a yield of 140kg per mu 667m2 .The nuts are medium-sized，with an average single nut weight of 2.4g ： The nut surface is yellowish-brown and smooth，and the nuts are conical in shape. The kernels are creamy white，plump，and have a sweet flavor. The shell is relatively thin，with a thickness of 1.3mm ，and the kernel yield isashigh as 45% .‘Pingou γ， is suitable for cultivation and development in regions with climate characteristics similar to those of Shanxi.
