Coulomb-corrected Strong-field Approximation Method with Uniformly Sampled Time

Abstract:Inthispaper,theabove-thresholdionizationprocessofargonatomsisstudiedusingthestandardCoulomb-corrected strong-fieldapproximation (CCSFA),i.e.theCCSFAmethodwithuniformlysampled points inmomentumspace,andtheimproved CCSFA method with uniformlysampledtime.The results show thatthe photoelectron momentumand energy spectra calculated by thetwosamplingstrategiesarebasicalltesam,utthereisaquantitativediferencebetweenthecalculatedresultsintehighenergypartofthephotoeletronspectuduetotedierenceinteelativeontrbutiosofthemultiple-returescateingelectrons obtained bythetwo methods.The analysis shows that the standard CCSFA method samplesuniformly inmomentumspace,butorrespondstoiomogeeityinetieomain,nditsmplingumberisxtremelysalaepakoftelerfeldedingto anunderestimationofthecontributionofteionizedelectronsnearthepeakofthefield.Sincetheionizationtimeofthemultple-re turnrescateringelectronsisoncentratednearthepeakoftelaserfield,theircontributionisnderestimatedbythestandardCCFA method. The use of the time-uniform sampling method overcomes these shortcomings.
