Abstract:Short videoplaysadual-roleasanemergingcommunicationmediumin thenarativesofvisuallyimpaired children.First,itprovidesaplatformforvisuallimpairedchildrentodisseminatetheirownstories.Second,thereisa risk ofreducing visually impairedchildren totheobjectoftheaudience'sone-waygaze,ignoringthediverse individual characteristicsofthisgroup,whichobjectivelyleads totheinequalityinthenarrativecommunicationofisuallympaired children.Basedonthetheoryofmediaecology,theresearchersexaminedthenarativecommunicationpracticeofvisually impairedchildrenenabledbyshortvideosanddiscusedhowtopromotetheharmoniousdevelopmentof thesocialintegration ecology for visually impairedchildren byimprovingtheethical standards increationand educationalapplicationlevelof short -video content.The follwing suggestions were put forward: special educators should reasonably use short videosineducational practicetofullyutilizetheirpositiveefects inspecialeducationandsocialintegration;Strengthen thebarrier-freeconstructionmechanisminthedigitalenvironment,fosterafavorablemediaecologyfordisseminatingthe narrativesofvisuallyimpairedchdren,andcreateanequalandsupportivedigitalintegrationenvironmentfortisgroup.
